Flexibilidad y compliance fonéticas: un enfoque experimental para evaluar la capacidad individual de adquirir material fonético en L2

En este trabajo se presenta el concepto de flexibilidad fonética, definido como la capacidad del hablante para ajustar su producción fónica a las exigencias internas y externas de una situación comunicativa determinada. A continuación, se exploran distintos fenómenos vinculados a esta flexibilidad, centrándose especialmente en la convergencia fonética en la lengua materna (L1) y en la compliance fonética en lengua extranjera (L2). Seguidamente, se exponen los resultados de investigaciones experimentales que evidencian el papel de la compliance fonética en el aprendizaje de la pronunciación en L2. En primer lugar, se muestra cómo una metodología de evaluación de esta compliance puede aplicarse a una muestra de 41 aprendientes hispanohablantes principiantes en francés, permitiendo identificar diversos perfiles y conformar cuatro grupos experimentales equilibrados en función de esta variable. En segundo lugar, se analiza la respuesta de dichos perfiles ante intervenciones pedagógicas diseñadas para mejorar la pronunciación de las vocales en francés. Finalmente, se abordan las implicaciones teóricas y didácticas de los hallazgos, especialmente en lo que respecta a la aptitud general para la flexibilidad fonética.
